This is an internship/Co-op position within the Government Affairs Department of Delta Air Lines, based on-site in Washington, D.C. The role reports directly to the Director – Government Affairs.

Key Responsibilities:
Assisting in preparation of presentations and reports.
Participating in the planning and execution of department functions.
Supporting the Government Affairs team in promoting and monitoring public policy that impacts Delta and the aviation industry.
Performing extensive research and analysis, with a specific focus on transportation policy.
Compiling and reporting on data as determined by the scope of the assignment/project to aid the Government Affairs staff.
• Ensuring assignments are completed efficiently, accurately, and timely, conforming to company standards.
• Practicing safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

Compensation:
• A fixed rate of $22.56 per hour.

Required Qualifications (Minimum):
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program at a college and/or university.
• Ability to work on-site in the Washington, D.C. office for the entire duration of the internship.
• Availability to work on a full-time basis for the Spring 2026 semester.
Strict requirement: Student cannot actively take any courses (inclusive of online or in-person) and work as a Co-op/Intern at the same time, which may potentially delay graduation by 1-2 semesters.
Very organized.
• Ability to communicate effectively and legibly with all levels of personnel.
• Demonstrated ability in information gathering and data collection.
• Possession of strong innovation/creativity skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Commitment to ensuring privacy is a priority when handling personal data.
Adaptable and able to function effectively in a fast-paced work environment with competing priorities.
• Ability to convey a professional image to all levels of employees.
• Possession of a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
• Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
• Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.

Important Note:
• Working as a Co-op/Intern does not guarantee a full-time opportunity at Delta Air Lines upon graduation. This position is primarily intended to provide educational and professional work experience to prepare the student for the workforce.
• The advertised end date for this position is August 19, 2025, despite being a Spring 2026 semester role.
