Position: Instructional Design Intern (Unpaid)

Location: 100% Remote (USA Only)

Duration: 90 Days

Hours: Part-time (15-20 hours/week)

Role Overview:
Marketeq is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Instructional Design Interns. This unpaid internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience by creating sales training content specifically for IT Account Executives. The primary focus of the role is to move existing content into the company’s Learning Management System (LMS). The secondary priority involves creating new training modules and a final assessment exam for certification. The training content will cover essential sales strategies and processes required for successful client interactions and business growth within the IT consulting sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Research: Conduct thorough research on various sales strategies and techniques relevant to the IT consulting industry.
Needs Assessment/Discovery: Conduct persona interviews with sales trainers to gather insights and best practices, and use affinity mapping to organize data and identify key themes for training development.
Content Development: Develop comprehensive sales training materials for IT Account Executives. This includes, but is not limited to, topics such as:
• Needs assessment techniques for IT consulting.
• Client discovery processes.
• Creating and presenting Statements of Work (SOW).
• Service Level Agreement (SLA) negotiation strategies.
• Effective negotiation tactics.
• Procedures for sending invoices and collecting deposits.
Learning Module Design: Design engaging and interactive learning modules, which may include presentations, guides, quizzes, and certification paths.
LMS Management: Develop and manage content on Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as iSpring Learn or Relate Systems.
Collaboration & Alignment: Collaborate with the sales and training teams to ensure that all developed content aligns with current industry standards and company objectives.
Revision & Updates: Revise and update training materials based on feedback received from stakeholders and trainees.
Presentation Creation: Create and design PowerPoint presentations to support sales training sessions.

Qualifications:

Education: Currently enrolled in a degree program in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Learning and Development, or related fields such as Instructional Design and Technology, Educational Technology, Learning and Development, or Curriculum and Instruction.
Research Skills: Strong research skills and the ability to effectively synthesize information from diverse sources.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
LMS Experience: Prior experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as iSpring Learn or Relate Systems.
Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Interest: A keen interest in IT consulting and sales strategies is considered a plus.
