Job Description: Tax Winter 2026 Internship – Bethesda, MD

This is an exciting Tax Winter Internship opportunity located in Bethesda, MD, scheduled from January to April 2026.

Your Team:
• You will work on an Engagement Team alongside other Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners.
• The firm serves a diverse range of industries, which may include: Consumer & Industrial, Financial Sponsors & Financial Services, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Public Sector, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Technology & Media, and Private Client Services (varies by office).
• The CohnReznick office offers amenities and collaborative spaces.
• You will be assigned a Performance Coach to help establish goals, provide feedback, and support your career path.
• A CR Friend will be assigned to you as a familiar contact and support person when you join the firm.

Your Role (Responsibilities):
As a Tax Winter Intern, your primary responsibilities will involve becoming familiar with current tax theories and laws and performing procedures according to firm standards. Key duties include:
• Working on a variety of client deliverables, including the preparation of individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns.
Identifying potential tax issues.
Preparing tax adjusting entries and tax trial balances based on audited or client-provided trial balances.
Assisting the team with daily client workflow.

Your Experience (Requirements):

Successful candidates will have:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• A plan to complete 150 credit hours between May 2026 – September 2027 to qualify for CPA licensure.
• A minimum 3.0 GPA in both their major and overall.
• Successful completion of two accounting courses prior to the start of the internship.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• The ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Prior work or internship experience is a plus.
• Experience in leadership positions in student organizations, extracurricular activities, and/or on team projects is also beneficial.
Work Authorization: Successful candidates must provide proof of work authorization such as U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency status. CohnReznick does not offer sponsorship to foreign nationals for Entry Level Roles (new associates and interns).

Compensation:
The salary for a Tax Winter Intern in Maryland is $34 per hour. This salary is part of the comprehensive CohnReznick total rewards package, which includes access to best-in-class learning and development platforms.
