Job Description

Role Title: Business Development Specialist (Volunteer Role)
Organization: Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow Inc. 510(c)(3)
Location: Remote (with occasional in-person events)
Commitment: 6–12 months, approximately 5–7 hours per week
Reports To: Business Development Manager

Role Overview:
The Business Development Specialist (BDS) is a competitive, volunteer-based role crucial for fueling EOT’s growth. BDS team members are responsible for identifying and engaging with potential sponsors, donors, grantmakers, and brand partners who align with EOT’s mission. This position is ideal for aspiring entrepreneurs, fundraisers, marketers, or professionals seeking to enhance their business development skills while making a significant social impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Prospecting & Pipeline Building:
• Research and identify potential sponsors, foundations, and grant opportunities that align with EOT’s objectives.
• Develop and manage a pipeline of leads in collaboration with the Business Development Manager (BDM) and the grant team.
• Accurately input and maintain opportunity details within tracking tools such as Airtable and Google Sheets.
Outreach & Relationship Building:
• Draft and personalize effective emails, Letters of Interest (LOIs), and sponsorship outreach messages.
• Participate in introductory meetings or presentations as required, alongside the President or Fundraising Lead.
• Represent EOT professionally and ensure mission alignment in all external communications.
Proposal & Application Support:
• Collaborate with the team on creating compelling sponsorship decks, grant narratives, and pitch materials.
• Assist with data gathering and storytelling to support proposal submissions.
• Track the status of deliverables and ensure all deadlines are met punctually.
Collaboration & Internal Reporting:
• Attend mandatory weekly check-ins with the Business Development Team.
• Provide regular status updates, share successes, and communicate challenges via Basecamp or the team dashboard.
• Strive to meet performance benchmarks and contribute actively to overall team milestones.

Qualifications:

Passion: Strong enthusiasm for EOT’s mission and youth empowerment.
Communication: Excellent research and writing skills, with strong overall communication abilities.
Self-Starter: Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work independently.
Technical Familiarity: Familiarity with Google Workspace, Airtable, and CRM systems (training provided).
Outreach Comfort: Comfortable with outreach activities and eager to build new partnerships.
Experience (Preferred): Prior experience in fundraising, sales, or business development is preferred but not mandatory.
Education/Background: Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in Business, Marketing, Social Impact, or a related field.
