Job Description: Marketing Intern
Pay:

Summary:
The Marketing Intern will collaborate directly with the Dining Services team to support and promote various dining programs, events, and initiatives across campus. This role is ideally suited for students with an interest in marketing, communications, or hospitality. The intern will play a key role in enhancing engagement and improving the overall dining experience by assisting with social media management, content creation, event planning, and student outreach efforts.
Responsibilities:
• Content Creation & Social Media: Create and schedule engaging social media content specifically designed to promote campus dining options and upcoming events.
• Event Planning & Promotion: Provide support in the planning and active promotion of on-campus food events and marketing campaigns.
• Feedback Collection: Learn and effectively conduct surveys to gather valuable feedback from students regarding dining services.
• Marketing Material Design: Design various marketing materials, including posters, flyers, and digital graphics, to support promotional activities.
• Collaboration & Outreach: Collaborate with the dining services team and various student organizations to significantly increase awareness of dining programs.
• Trend Monitoring: Monitor current marketing trends and propose innovative and creative strategies to enhance dining promotion.
• Program Knowledge: Acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of campus meal plans, dining locations, and overall hospitality programs.
• Tool Utilization: Learn and effectively utilize available tools and technology to efficiently complete daily tasks and larger projects.
• Other Duties: Undertake other marketing or hospitality-related responsibilities as assigned, including any additional duties as needed.
Qualifications:
• Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a closely related field.
• Creative Skills: Possess a strong creative vision coupled with a keen attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills essential for successful promotion and customer engagement.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in the use of various social media platforms and basic graphic design tools, such as Canva.
