Job Description

This describes the Matthews Sales Training Program, an unpaid training opportunity focused on education and learning. It explicitly states that no employment or agent relationship is created by participation in these training programs.

Program Objective:
The primary objective for participants is to learn the commercial real estate sales process by leveraging Matthews’ innovations and technology platforms.

Work Environment:
The program requires an individual’s ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, collaborative environment to maximize the training experience.

Learning Structure:
Learning occurs within a collaborative environment, working alongside a Market Leader and Senior Sales Associate.

Key Learning Opportunities / Trainee Experience:
Participants will gain exposure and skills in various aspects of commercial real estate sales and marketing, including:
• Learning how to utilize marketing to increase the total number of customers and profitable revenue per existing customer.
• Observing and learning diverse sales and marketing activities, such as direct and channel selling, telemarketing, lead generation, participation in trade organizations, and cold calling, among other techniques for obtaining and maintaining business.
• Acquiring a basic understanding of revenue responsibilities, including the process of reaching sales quota.
• Developing skills to identify, qualify, develop, and execute strategies in target accounts and for the introduction of new products/services.
• Acquiring skills to identify and establish relationships within critical market segments.
• Learning MREIS’s value proposition and selling points.
• Gaining the ability to identify promotional opportunities to provide demonstrations and outline features and benefits of company products/services.
• Learning to maintain regular contact with a large database of clients and prospects.
• Other opportunities as designated by Management.

Requirements:
Candidates for this training program should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field.
1+ years of experience in sales preferred, but not strictly required, to maximize the training experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
