About the Job

The position is for a Class Assistant for ENV 265: Environmental Law and Policy, a cornerstone graduate-level course within the Nicholas School of the Environment. This role offers the opportunity to support instruction in a dynamic and impactful subject, helping to shape the classroom experience for students who are preparing to become leaders in environmental policy, law, and advocacy.

As a Class Assistant, you will be an integral part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team focused on supporting students from diverse backgrounds as they explore the critical intersection of law, policy, and environmental science. You will work closely with Professor Don Hornstein, a prominent figure in environmental law, to facilitate learning and engagement within the course.

Key Responsibilities (What You’ll Do):

Assist with Course Logistics: Manage course materials and coordinate assignments, ensuring all necessary resources are available and tasks are organized efficiently.
Support Classroom Activities and Discussions: Actively participate in and facilitate classroom activities and discussions, contributing to an interactive learning environment.
Provide Administrative and Academic Support: Offer comprehensive administrative and academic assistance to Professor Hornstein, helping to streamline his instructional responsibilities.
Ensure a Smooth and Engaging Learning Experience: Contribute to creating an effective and stimulating learning atmosphere for all students enrolled in ENV 265.
