About the Job: Audit Summer 2026 Internship – Sunrise, FL

CohnReznick is offering an exciting Audit Summer 2026 Internship opportunity in their Sunrise, FL office. This internship runs from June to August 2026 and is designed for highly dedicated students looking to gain practical experience in public accounting.

Work Model:
CohnReznick operates as a hybrid firm. While the specific in-office cadence is determined at the team level, professionals are encouraged to be in the office or together in person on average 3 days a week to foster in-person collaboration.

Your Team:
As an Audit Summer Intern, you will be an integral part of an engagement team. This team comprises other Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners, providing a structured environment for learning and growth. The firm serves a variety of clients across diverse industries, including Consumer & Industrial, Financial Sponsors & Financial Services, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Public Sector, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Technology & Media, and Private Client Services (industry exposure may vary by office). The Sunrise office offers amenities, collaborative spaces, and private offices. Interns will also be assigned a Performance Coach to help establish goals, provide feedback, and guide their career path, and a CR Friend to serve as a familiar face and a point of contact for support.

Your Role (Responsibilities):
As an Audit Summer Intern, you will be responsible for becoming familiar with accounting and auditing procedures and performing tasks in accordance with firm standards. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Working on various aspects of an audit engagement, including cash, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, searching for unrecorded liabilities, maintaining confirmation logs, and preparing audit work papers.
Assisting with audits, reviews, compilations, and accounting services.
• Taking part in resolving audit issues by obtaining evidence and making inquiries of clients while assisting the team with daily client workflow.

Your Experience (Qualifications):

The successful candidate will have:
Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
Plan to complete 150 credit hours between December 2026 – September 2027 to be eligible for CPA licensure.
• A minimum 3.0 GPA in both your major and overall.
Successful completion of two accounting courses prior to the start of your internship.
• Held leadership positions in student organizations, extracurricular activities, and/or on team projects.
Prior work or internship experience is a plus.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Able to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Must be able to provide proof of work authorization, such as U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency status.
