Overview:
This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to apply classroom knowledge, build valuable skills, and see firsthand how roads, bridges, and utilities are brought to life. As a Construction Solutions Intern, you will gain practical field experience inspecting construction work, testing materials, and tracking project progress. You will also contribute to office tasks such as reviewing plans, preparing daily reports, and participating in project meetings. This program is designed to provide comprehensive exposure to the construction engineering industry.

Responsibilities (What you will do):
Project Coordination: Help ensure projects run smoothly by coordinating with contractors, designers, utility companies, and local residents, observing the entire project lifecycle.
Material Testing: Gain hands-on experience with material testing for asphalt, concrete, aggregates, and soils, understanding the science behind construction quality.
Site Observation & Documentation: Visit construction sites to observe daily contractor activities, document progress, and ensure everything remains on schedule.
Technology & Reporting: Utilize tools like Microsoft Office, Appia, SiteManager, and BlueBeam to organize and report project information, enhancing your technical skills.
Project Support: Support real construction projects involving roads, bridges, and utility systems that directly benefit communities.
Other Tasks: Undertake additional tasks as needed to support the team.

Qualifications:
• Currently a student majoring in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Land Surveying, Structural Engineering, or a related field with a focus on Civil Engineering.
• Possession of a reliable personal vehicle and a valid Driver’s License for transportation to the office and between project sites.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic, clear communication skills, and a genuine eagerness to learn and embrace new challenges.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
