Job Description

This posting describes the ConocoPhillips Digital & IT Summer Internship program.

Position Overview & Program Details:
The internship offers an exciting summer assignment designed to provide hands-on experience and allow interns to contribute to real-world projects. The program includes:
Orientation, teambuilding, and community service activities.
Opportunities to interact with upper management.
Meaningful Assignments: Interns work directly alongside ConocoPhillips subject matter experts in various disciplines, including:
• Application/Automation Development
• Artificial Intelligence
• Cloud Engineering
• Data & Analytics
• Emerging Digital Technologies
• Enterprise Business Capabilities
• Firewall Engineering
• IT Security
• Network Engineering
• Telecommunications
Guidance and Support: Interns receive regular feedback, coaching, and guidance from their supervisor and mentors.
Networking Opportunities: Interns can interact with upper management and connect with a wide array of Employee Resource Groups.
Final Presentation: At the end of the summer, interns will showcase their findings and accomplishments through a capstone presentation.

Location and Duration:
• Internship assignments are typically at ConocoPhillips’ Bartlesville, Oklahoma or Houston, Texas offices.
• Limited opportunities may also be available in Anchorage, Alaska.
• Typical internship length varies from 10 to 12 weeks, depending on the project and the intern’s availability.

Qualifications:

Basic/Required Qualifications:
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than a current employer and/or education institution.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, other related field, or foreign equivalent.
• Current level in college: Freshman through Senior.
• Expected graduation date: Fall 2026 through Spring/Fall 2029.
• Available for internship start mid-late May 2026.
• A minimum of ten (10) continuous weeks availability for the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Willingness to work in any of these locations: Bartlesville, OK; Houston, TX; or Anchorage, AK.
• A minimum cumulative and major GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrates the ability to build effective solutions based on available information and make timely, safe, and ethical decisions.
• Able to build positive relationships based on trust and seek collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve goals.
• Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by holding others accountable and standing up for what’s right.
• Understands how key financial and quantitative indicators impact the business.

Application Process:
• All interested candidates must complete an online application at the ConocoPhillips Careers website to be considered for an interview.
• ConocoPhillips will conduct on-campus interviews at various U.S. universities during the Fall of 2025.
• If an application progresses to the interview stage, the interview will be scheduled either on campus (if ConocoPhillips is visiting the applicant’s school) or directly with a recruiter (if not visiting the campus).
• Applicants should check with their university’s career services office to find out if and when ConocoPhillips will be visiting their campus.
