Job Description: Editorial Internship (Fall 2025)
Milwaukee Magazine is offering Editorial Internship positions for FALL 2025. This is a professional, part-time, and unpaid position that requires applicants to be able to receive college course credit for the internship.

Key Responsibilities:
• Extensive fact-checking, requiring a commitment to accuracy and detail.
• Writing for both the print editions of the magazine and its website, milwaukeemag.com.
• Involvement in larger research projects.
• Participation in and contribution to brainstorming sessions that determine the direction of the magazine’s editorial content.
• The role emphasizes professionalism, meaning interns are responsible for their own personal needs (e.g., getting their own coffee).

Work Schedule:
• Interns will work 15-20 hours a week.
• The internship currently follows a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications:
• Applicants should have experience working in a journalistic environment, whether through a professional or student publication.
• A strong commitment to accuracy and detail is essential, with the ability to verify facts and never assume their correctness.
• Knowledge of AP Style is required.
• Familiarity with Milwaukee Magazine is preferred; if not, applicants should become familiar with it soon.
• A knack for telling stories is highly valued.
