Job Description: Medical Assistant II (MA II)
The Medical Assistant II (MA II) is a clinical support role primarily focused on patient care within the Providence Medical Group Montana, specifically at the St Patrick Hospital-Broadway Bldg-Missoula MT, located at 500 W Broadway. This is a full-time, day shift, on-site position within the 3501 INT MED MT BROADWAY department.
Role Summary and Responsibilities:
The MA II works under the direct delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties that assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. This role encompasses all responsibilities of an MA I and requires full competency in the clinical needs and functions specific to the assigned clinic or location of work. The MA II is expected to adhere strictly to established policies, procedures, and regulations in all duties. Required Qualifications:
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
• Coursework/Training: One of the following must be met:
• Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants, OR
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, OR
• Completion of two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces, OR
• Minimum of one year of work experience as a medical assistant that specifically includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
• Certifications:
• Upon hire, must possess National Provider BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 6 months of healthcare experience.
• Minimum of 6 months of Medical Assistant experience.

• Upon hire, National Medical Assistant Certification is preferred.
Compensation:
The base pay range for this position is $17.88 – $27.36 per hour. It’s important to note that this is the base pay range, and additional compensation opportunities may be available. These can include:
