Job Description

Job Title: Data Engineering Intern

Job Summary:
The Data Engineering Intern at Wurl will support performance marketing initiatives on Connected TV (CTV). This role offers hands-on experience in building data-driven solutions specifically for ad targeting and campaign optimization within the streaming industry.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to develop and maintain scalable data pipelines that support performance marketing efforts on CTV.
• Assist in implementing attribution models that tie CTV viewership to campaigns.
• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate AI-driven targeting into the data infrastructure.
• Analyze viewer engagement data to identify opportunities for optimizing return on ad spend (ROAS).
• Contribute to the development of tools and dashboards that provide insights into campaign performance and audience behavior.

Qualifications:

Required:
• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with data engineering concepts and tools (e.g., ETL processes, data warehousing).
• Interest in digital advertising, performance marketing, and streaming media technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred:
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and big data technologies.
• Understanding of ad tech ecosystems and metrics (e.g., CPM, CTR, ROAS).
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts, particularly in the context of ad targeting and personalization.
DataBricks experience.
• Familiarity with interactive ad formats and their implementation.
