Qualifications For Fall 2025 Digital Media Internships (Remote):
These remote internships are VERY HIGHLY SELECTIVE, with only a few positions available.
Supervision: All internships are supervised by a station supervisor who will monitor performance and ensure proper education/training.
Compensation: All internships are UNPAID.
Academic Credit: Students who are required to earn academic credit for participation will receive priority consideration. Interns are responsible for obtaining and completing any necessary forms from their college/university to receive credit. The amount of credit and weekly availability are determined by the intern’s academic advisor and institution guidelines.
Equipment: The remote intern is responsible for securing access to a computer and the internet to communicate with team members and submit work promptly.
Essential Skills:
VERY STRONG WRITING SKILLS are crucial.
HIGHLY SELF-MOTIVATED individuals will be most successful.
• Basic working understanding of AP style & standards for text articles and broadcast scripts.
• Prepared to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are critical and assignments may change with little notice, requiring nimbleness and flexibility.
Beneficial (but not required) Skills/Coursework:
Video Editing: Knowledge of timeline-based software like Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro.
Video Acquisition: Ability to capture video, natural sound, and interviews using a phone or camera.
